Christy Lemp Week #2

Today called for bright color to combat January cold weather. I decided to just plop down a couple of colors and spray with water with flowers in mind.

This is New Gamboge and Quinacridone Red, undiluted, on Arches 140# cold press paper.
Some squirts of water-fun! Tipped the paper back and forth to let colors run.
Used Perylene maroon to outline some petals while still wet and punch it up.
Softened with more water around some edges. I think this would be a good beginning for a casual flower painting and add a few leafy shapes and stems when dry. Might be nice for a little cheery notecard for someone too!
