Paint: Blue Black mixed with intense blue. Salt added (details below). Burnt Umber wash added to eyes. Purple lake and Permanent rose added to tongue with shadow added in Indigo. Details and squiggles added with black watercolour pencil
The salt in the black does not create white spaces, but instead adds texture.
